Avebury, the Milton Keynes Head Office, is really something special, even if we do say so ourselves. It has featured in two of the Superman movies as the offices of The Daily Planet! The reception area is a large, naturally lit atrium used also for product exhibitions and informal meetings. As you'd expect, there are plenty of our products and literature available - so everyone who comes in can see precisely what Homebase is all about.

Wallington is our second Head Office location, which has received an extensive refurbishment following the relocation of approximately 500 jobs from Wallington to Milton Keynes. This location now accommodates parts of Finance, Information Systems and Infrastructure, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management and Human Resources.

75 miles south west from Milton Keynes, Swindon is host to our in-house Regional Distribution Centre, which delivers to approximately half of our stores. Lydiard Fields RDC is ideally situated on junction 16 of the M4 corridor. The site runs a 24 hour operation covered by 3 shifts. Products range from home enhancement - to garden centre items. Apart from warehouse colleagues, the site is supported by HR, finance and site service functions. In addition, a small team of our commercial department, namely Horticulture buyers and merchandisers are also based at this location.

Together, the Milton Keynes, Wallington and Swindon offices form the heart of all our activities.
